Peperomia is one of our favorite genera. You might be surprised at the amount of diversity within this one group of plants. From tiny, creeping varieties such as Peperomia prostrata to the well loved, big and bushy Peperomia argyreia (also known as the Watermelon Peperomia). Relatively new in cultivation, Peperomia metallica is sure to become another well loved Peperomia. With it's pearlescent leaves and creeping habit this plant will stand out among any collection. While you often see Peperomia included in lists of easy care plants, we find certain varieties can often prove tricky for both beginner and seasoned plant parents alike. We've got some tips and tricks for you and your Peperomia metallica to have a long and happy life together!

CARE TIPS:

Light: Peperomia metallica will do best with bright, indirect light. They can be kept in medium indirect light but be mindful of watering. The lower the light the less frequently your plant will need to be watered.

Water: Allow your Peperomia metallica to go about halfway dry between watering. Peperomia have shallow roots that can quickly rot if allowed to stay too moist. If you're having a hard time knowing when to water your Peperomia metallica pay attention to your plant, you'll notice the leaves will go slightly limp when it's time to water.

Did you know? Peperomia are some of the easiest plants to propagate. They can be propagated with stem cuttings, leaf cuttings, or even just small portions of one leaf!
