Light: Like all Hoya, Hoya sp. aff. burtoniae will appreciate being placed in bright indirect light. When grown in bright light you may notice your plant developing reddish-brown edges on its leaves! Hoya sp. aff. burtoniae can be grown in medium indirect light but you will need to water less frequently and your plant will most likely never flower.

Water: Allow Hoya sp. aff. burtoniae to go completely dry in-between watering. Hoya sp. aff. burtoniae has thick, succulent leaves and can handle staying dry for a little while, but don't over do it! Hoya have a tendency to lose roots if left too dry for too long.
