One of the faster growing Hoyas we've encountered, Hoya australis has deep green leaves and is an easy climber- often climbing anything within reach. Like other Hoyas, australis produces blooms that appear as though they are made of porcelain- off-white in color with fuchsia centers in the case of australis.
Place in pot with drainage. Allow soil to dry 3/4 of the way down between waterings. If leaves begin to pucker, it’s time to water.
Bright indirect light. Can adapt to medium light, though blooms will not develop in medium light.
This less widely available species will climb if given something to grab onto. To encourage blooms, allow to become slightly root bound.
We try to ensure that plant product photos resemble an average specimen of the individual species. Actual plant shipped may be slightly different in size, shape, or specific color/variegation. Any major differences will be noted in the product description.
