You may know this Hoya as 'Krimson Queen' or 'Tricolor', but no matter the name, this variegated Hoya carnosa is a show-stopper! With pale pink, creamy white, and green variegation on leaves that sprout from vines that are occasionally bright pink, new growth always holds a little surprise. Star shaped blooms that look like they are made of porcelain are pale pink with dark fuchsia centers, and form in a tight cluster that's almost spherical in appearance (called an 'umbel').
Place in pot with drainage. Allow soil to dry 3/4 of the way down between waterings. If leaves begin to pucker, it’s time to water.
Bright indirect light. Can adapt to medium light, though blooms will not develop in medium light.
This species will climb if given something to grab onto. To encourage blooms, allow to become slightly root bound. Once blooms are spent, DO NOT cut off the point they emerge from (called a 'peduncle'), as Hoyas re-bloom from the same peduncle year after year.
We try to ensure that plant product photos resemble an average specimen of the individual species. Actual plant shipped may be slightly different in size, shape, or specific color/variegation. Any major differences will be noted in the product description.
