AKA 'Buddha Belly'
6" pot (currently in bloom, with new leaves budding)
Place in pot with drainage hole. Allow soil to dry out between waterings. Avoid overwatering. Water less in winter.
Direct sun to bright indirect light. Can be grown outdoors in warmer months, bring indoors if temps dip below 40 degrees.
Jatropha seeds are TOXIC, so use caution around kids and pets. They also contain a milky latex sap that can cause irritation to the skin, eyes, and mouth. Use caution when handling cut or broken plants. Plant will likely go dormant in winter months, so don’t worry if leaves fall off. Just keep warm, water very sparingly, and new growth should return in spring.
