A more velvet-leaved version of the classic 'Heart Leaf Philodendron', like it's all-green sister, is one of our favorite easy-care plants!  Interestingly, this harder-to-find species also known as Philodendron 'Micans' is the original form of P. hederaceum.

Philodendron 'Micans' CARE:

Bright to medium indirect light. Direct sun will scorch leaves.

Place in pot with drainage. Water when top 1/3 of soil has dried out. Avoid overwatering. Leaves will begin to curl inward when plant is ready for water. Yellowing leaves may indicate soil is overly moist.

This species is easy to propagate via cuttings (with nodes), rooted in water. If given something to climb like a moss pole, P. hederaceum will take on a more mature, much larger, leaf form.

Find our full care guide in the PLANT CARE COMPENDIUM.

IMPORTANT NOTES ON PLANT SHIPPING:

We try to ensure that plant product photos resemble an average specimen of the individual species. Actual plant shipped may be slightly different in size, shape, or specific color/variegation. Any major differences will be noted in the product description.

Winter plant shipping protection must be added to your cart in order to receive refunds or replacements resulting from cold damage. Please add this item when ordering plants during the winter months (November - April) if you experience temps below 50°F.

Please read through our PLANT SHIPPING INFO & FAQ page for other questions prior to ordering.
