There are many different cultivars of Anthuriun andraeanum available, so there's a color for everyone! Like most of the tropical plants we keep in our homes Anthurium andraeanum is endemic to warm, humid tropical forest where it receives shaded and dappled light. Mimicking this type of environment is the best way to ensure your Anthurium andraeanum is happy in your home. We've got some tips here on how to best keep your Anthurium so you can watch it, and your love, thrive for years to come!

Light: Keep your Anthurium andraeanum in bright indirect light. Anthurium andraeanum can also be kept in medium indirect light but it may not flower.

Water: Anthurium andraeanum likes to stay on the moister side. Water when about 1/2" of the soil has gone dry. This is a plant that also appreciates some added humidity. You can achieve this by keeping your Anthurium andraeanum in a well lit bathroom, placing a pebble tray underneath your plant, or placing it near a humidifier!

Did you know? Anthurium andraeanum can sometimes be hard to re-bloom. To help your plant produce those colorful leaves provide a phosphorus rich fertilizer!
