We are so excited to have Hoya sp. aff. burtoniae in the store! This new to us Hoya is a real cutie, we can't get enough of its ovate fuzzy leaves! You may be scratching your head at its interesting name. The term "sp. aff." stands for species affinis, meaning it resembles another species (Hoya burtoniae) but is most likely a new undescribed species. It's unique name aside we think you'll love this Hoya! Hoya sp. aff. burtoniae is an easy grower, and given time it will reward you with cascading foliage and clusters of reddish-pink flowers! If you've kept Hoya before this will be an easy addition and if you haven't this is a great one to start with! We've got all the care info you'll need for a happy and long life with your Hoya sp. aff. burtoniae!
Light: Like all Hoya, Hoya sp. aff. burtoniae will appreciate being placed in bright indirect light. When grown in bright light you may notice your plant developing reddish-brown edges on its leaves! Hoya sp. aff. burtoniae can be grown in medium indirect light but you will need to water less frequently and your plant will most likely never flower.
Water: Allow Hoya sp. aff. burtoniae to go completely dry in-between watering. Hoya sp. aff. burtoniae has thick, succulent leaves and can handle staying dry for a little while, but don't over do it! Hoya have a tendency to lose roots if left too dry for too long.
