Plant Know-How: Peperomia obtusifolia
CARE TIPS:
Light: Peperomia obtusifolia does best in medium to indirect bright light. All green varieties may be able to tolerate lower light, while variegated varieties will need higher light to maintain their color.
Water: Allow your Peperomia obtusifolia to go nearly dry before watering. The light that you're growing your plant in will affect how often you water. If your plant is growing in lower light you will need to water less frequently and if it is in higher light it will need to be watered more frequently. Peperomia obtusifolia, and most Peperomia, do best when grown in a well draining mix. If you're not ready to mix your own soil we have our own Folia Favorite Potting Mix that is a great choice for Peperomia!
Did you know? Your Peperomia obtusifolia may grow strange, tentacle like growths. These are actually its flowers! Each flower spike contains many tiny, almost unnoticeable flowers.
