Between its beautiful lime green color and uniquely shaped leaves its a hard plant to pass up! Philodendron bipennifolium 'Aurea' is a cultivar of Philodendron bipennifolium, which is a darker green than 'Aurea'. Philodendron bipennifolium 'Aurea', like many other members of the genus, has leaves that change shape as it matures. Young plants have simple, ovate leaves, that as the plant matures change into lobed leaves that roughly resemble a horse head. The common name for Philodendron bipennifolium 'Aurea' is actually the Horsehead Philodendron because of its leaf shape!
