Ramona & Ruth is a boutique letterpress stationery studio in Omaha, Nebraska founded in 2009 by owner Kim Burks.

WHAT DREW YOU TO YOUR MEDIUM ORIGINALLY?
It was love at first sight when I held a letterpress invitation in my hands for the first time. I was immediately drawn to the tactile feel of it and the subtle dimension it added to the design. I knew then it was something I wanted to incorporate into my own work.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU MOST & HOW IS THAT REFLECTED IN YOUR WORK?
Lately I have been inspired by color, shape, and texture. It's so fun to play around with how the 3 interact with each other. I get a lot of my inspiration when I let my mind rest and just take things in. Traveling is a great time for me to feel inspired.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE ITEM TO MAKE? WHY IS IT YOUR FAVORITE?
I love designing my planners. I love sitting down and thinking through how I plan my days and how I can create a loose guideline that may help others structure their days.
WHAT DO YOU WISH CUSTOMERS UNDERSTOOD BETTER ABOUT HANDMADE ITEMS?
When I think of a handmade item, I always appreciate the uniqueness of each item which just makes it so special. I also imagine the person behind the creation and how much care and love goes into each product.
